All you need is The Beatles Rock Band, it’s finally here!
A new wave of Beatlemania is set to hit the nation as after months of waiting The Beatles Rock Band has finally made it down the long and winding road to its 09.09.09 release date. Originally the idea came from Dhani Harrison (who is apparently a gamer) who suggested the idea of a Beatles videogame to Paul McCartney (who apparently is not, although he does claim to have liked the SNES game Pilotwings). With a little help from MTV Games, Harmonix and a digitally remastered back catalogue of music, The Beatles Rock Band is now available to play on the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360.

You know the score by now, it’s Rock Band, it’s The Beatles, you pick up a controller of your choice and you play through The Beatles career. Right from the early days in the Cabin Club to the iconic rooftop concert you’ll be there with them in an experience that will get you closer to The Beatles than ever before. The song listings are as follows;
Cavern Club (1963): Twist And Shout, Boys, Do You Want To Know A Secret, I Saw Her Standing There
Ed Sullivan Theater (1964): I Want To Hold Your Hand, Can’t Buy Me Love, A Hard Day’s Night, I Wanna Be Your Man
Shea Stadium (1965): Ticket to Tide, I’m Looking Through You, Eight Days A Week, If I Needed Someone, I Feel Fine
Budokan (1966): Day Tripper, And Your Bird Can Sing, Drive My Car, Taxman, Paperback Writer
Abbey Road (1966-1967): Yellow Submarine, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band / With A Little Help From My Friends, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Getting Better, Within You Without You / Tomorrow Never Knows, Good Morning Good Morning
Abbey Road (1967-1968): I Am The Walrus, Hello Goodbye, Hey Bulldog, Back In The U.S.S.R., Dear Prudence, While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Abbey Road (1968-1969): Helter Skelter, Revolution, Birthday, Octopus’s Garden, Something, Come Together, Here Comes The Sun
Rooftop Concert (1969): Dig a Pony, I’ve Got A Feeling, Don’t Let Me Down, I Me Mine, I Want You (She’s So Heavy), Get Back
Encore:
The End
As you can see it’s more than just a greatest hits compilation, which is great as it might make younger fans, or possible fans realise that The Beatles are more than just a collection of hits. All You Need Is Love will be available for a limited time as download exclusively on Xbox LIVE to raise money for the charity Doctors with Borders. The game is available on its own or as a premium bundle with replica Beatles instruments. Money can’t buy you love but it can buy you an awesome game, expect a review soon.
