Spanish fans to translate Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
In an unusual move Rising Star Games has announced it is teaming up with Spanish fans to translate the game’s script into their native language so Spanish speaking gamers can enjoy it in its entirety. The idea came from Spanish website DSWii.es (part of blogocio.net) who approached Rising Star games with the proposal. Rising Star was keen and so a group of 50 dedicated gamers were recruited for the project.
Once the translation of the game’s 35,000 words is complete it will be made available as a free download from DSWii.es and through Rising Star Games’ Hoshi Portal.
"The most important aspect of this translation is not that the game arrives in Spanish, but that this is the first time in history in which gamers will participate actively in the development process or the localisation of a title" says Hugo Fraga from Blogocio. It certainly is an interesting move and it will be interesting to see if fan participation in creating games will catch on.

Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon is set in post apocalyptic Japan, where the player takes the role of Seto, a young boy who must find his way through a deserted wasteland using his torch to defend himself from ghosts.
Promising to deliver an engrossing storyline and impressive graphics (for the Wii) Farewell Ruins of the Moon will be released in the UK March 19th and is availabe for pre-order now.
