About Greybeard

GreyBeard is Old, but not so old that his beard is actually Grey, we think he dyes it, just for effect. He comes from some far off Southern Hemisphere island and speaks with a slow drawl that allows his clouded mind to keep up.

Greybeard has spent his life as an anti-authority figure, rebelling and largely complaining – for the best part about technology - but he refuses to be put in a box and is prepared to complain about life, the universe and everything, given half a chance. He began life complaining about large things like computers and now tries to complain, just as loudly, about smaller and smaller things, like handsets and netbooks.

Greybeard is prone to begin sentences with “Why can’t they just…” and follows this up with helpful suggestions which are both anatomically and commercially inappropriate. Greybeard remembers when men were men, and women, they were men too, and computers – well they were built FOR men, but sadly never worked. “If technology worked, we’d all be out of jobs,” says Greybeard, which is one of the true pearls of wisdom he is prone to repeat.
